Google Earth-Ocean Demo is a dynamic, interactive 3D digital globe-based interface that illustrates our extensive coral reef database and the expedition onboard our ship from the year 2006 to 2008. In the coming year, it will include over 45 coral reef study sites, films about island cultures, a map of PCRF’s expedition route from 1995 to 2008, and a digital 3D model of PCRF’s ship with links to information on the expedition. This program provides a means to access large amounts of data for marine conservation and education/ outreach efforts.
